The Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Rose Cake Debuts at Amorette’s Patisserie

Late last year, Amorette’s Patisserie opened for business at Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs. The recent expansion of the shopping and dining district included the addition of several themed restaurants, retail experiences and attractions.

Amorette’s Patisserie is known for creating beautifully unique sweets, elaborately decorated and delightfully decadent. The bakery refers to itself as a “modern pastry shop” offering much more than your traditional patisserie. The menu features pastries, cakes, crepes, cookies and alcoholic beverages.

The Enchanted Rose Cake is what customers have come to expect from the talented pastry chefs at Amorette’s. Inspired by the new live action “Beauty and the Beast,” cake artists recreat details from Belle’s signature gold dress, and replicate the classic red rose for this themed cake.

Amorette’s Pastry Artist Jade says the patisserie is where “art meets pastry.” Each new cake design starts as a sketch, then is brought to life with a variety of modern techniques. The half moon shaped cake is hand painted with gold paint made from food die. The rose is made by hand out of white chocolate, and air brushed with red food die to give the rose its classic look. Watch the cake being made in the video below.

The Enchanted Rose Cake is now available at Amorette’s Patisserie in the Disney Springs area of the Walt Disney World Resort. While this cake isn’t featured on the online menu, other dome cakes are priced at $55 each. The cakes can be ordered in advance, and come in a beautiful keepsake box. You must order your cake at least 72 hours in advance. You can place an order by phone at (407) 934-3500 or in person by stopping by the shop. These dome cakes make a great gift if you’re celebrating a special occasion at the Walt Disney World Resort.
