The announcement that there would be a third season of “Elena of Avalor” was made by Nancy Kanter, Executive Vice President, Content & Creative Strategy, Disney Channels Worldwide and General Manager, Disney Junior Worldwide.

The animated series premiered in July 2016, to much praise. Many took to social media to share their excitement about the first Latina princess. “Elena of Avalor” quickly became a hit with girls aged 2 – 11 in the U.S. The series was honored with the National Hispanic Media Coalition Award. Ratings for the show have been impressive, ranking number one in its time slot among kids in the U.K., Spain and Portugal.

The Elena of Avalor Hasbro doll line has been successful as well, with one million dolls sold and counting. The Elena of Avalor costume was the most popular at the Disney Store for Halloween and the holiday season. New Elena of Avalor merchandise was announced at the recent Toy Fair in New York City.

About the Series

“With this new season order, the creative team, led by Craig Gerber and Silvia Olivas, has some exciting surprises in store for Elena on her journey to becoming queen. We’re looking forward to having our young viewers follow along on Elena’s adventure, while also continuing to build the Elena of Avalor experience for them beyond the screen,” said Kanter.

The second season of “Elena of Avalor” will debut this fall on Disney Channel and Disney Junior.

“Elena of Avalor” stars Aimee Carrero as the voice of Elena; Jenna Ortega as princess Isabel; Emiliano Diez as Francisco; and Julia Vera as Luisa. The show was created and produced by Emmy Award winner Craig Gerber. Silvia Olivas is co-producer and story editor and Elliot M. Bour is supervising director.
