Calvin Harris Just Wrote a New Song And It’s Everyone’s Dream Revenge

Ever have a nasty break up or unjustly earn a bad reputation thanks to someone else? Calvin Harris experienced both when he split from pop princess Taylor Swift. Now, he’s responding with a new song titled “My Way”.

The beloved pop mogul took credit for Harris’ song, “This is What You Came Here For” after their break up, launching a feud between the two. Harris took to social media to defend himself in the break up, “I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut vocals though. [It’s] hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though.”

He took to Instagram telling fans his side of the story. He even referenced Katy Perry in a now infamous tweet that read, “I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.”

Katy Perry responded to Harris’ tweet with her own Twitter response, “Time, the ultimate truth teller.” Seemingly acknowledging Swift’s attempt to drag her name through the mud. Swift’s hit “Bad Blood” was widely believed to be about her feud with Perry.

Now Harris has come out with a new song entitled “My Way” and it’s the simplest revenge song you’ve ever heard. It’s up beat, but still cuts with it’s repetition of the verse, “You were the one thing in my way.”

What do you think? Great way to respond to Swift’s camp? Or immature act on the part of a bitter ex? Either way, we as the audience win with great music. Swift has yet to respond to the new song, but we’re sure she’s putting pen to paper.
