Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Copper Creek Villas and Cabins Will Soon Welcome Guests

If you love the idea of the great out doors, but can’t stand to part with certain luxuries, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is the perfect resort for you. You can treat your family to a wilderness experience complete with many of the activities you’d expect from a camping excursion, while staying at a luxury resort mere feet away from Disney’s Grand Floridian Spa.

On July 17th, the hotel’s Copper Creek Villas and Cabins expansion will begin to welcome its first guests. The accommodations are inspired by the Westerners who turned relics of an abandoned railroad into contemporary communities that continue to thrive in the Pacific Northwest today.

All About the Pacific Northwest

The Copper Creek Villas and Cabins showcases Disney’s story telling and ability to take us back in time. The new resort property tells the unique story of the creation, evolution and re-imagination of the Transcontinental Railroad. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge consists of three unique resorts: Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Boulder Ridge and Copper Creek Villas and Cabins which each represent a point in the Pacific Northwest’s history. Boulder Ridge tells the story of the late 1800s, while the Wilderness Lodge depicts the 1900s, and Copper Creek Villas tells the story of the Northwest today.

Boulder Ridge draws inspiration from the rustic communities along the railroad, and honors Walt’s love of trains with nods to America’s railroading history.  The Wilderness lodge was designed to resemble the lodges that welcomed railroad travelers, and showcases the natural wonders of the west. The Copper Creek Villas and Cabins reflect the lifestyle of the Pacific Northwest today.

While the new resort property was built for Disney Vacation Club members, you don’t have to be a member to stay in one of these spacious rooms.

Copper Creek Villas and Cabins are currently under construction, but will be open to the public in just three short months.
