Tim Burton Themed Bar Opening in LA

The Burton-Themed Beetle House is opening a second location in Los Angeles

The New York-based Tim Burton themed bar and restaurant Beetle House is opening a west coast location on May 20th. The restaurant is taking reservations, and will fill up fast. The restaurant boasts it’s, “for Burton fans created by Burton fans.” The restaurant will be located on Hollywood Boulevard.

The restaurant and bar isn’t affiliated with Burton or his films, but does a good job bringing his characters to life. Guests can order drinks like “Alice’s Cup o’ Tea” and dishes like the “Edward Burger Hands.” The venue will feature live actors dressed as Burton’s most infamous characters including Beetle Juice.

Beetle House NY was the creation of childhood friends Zach Neil and Brian Link. They opened the restaurant and bar last April. One year later they’re bringing their unique themed restaurant to Hollywood.

Beetle House is a place where people are free, “to be as freaky as they want to be,” according to co-founder Zach Neil. “The ideas was simple, create a space where people who love Halloween, horror films, Gothic, dark and moody music can gather for a meal and drinks. Sports bars are great if you are into sports, but what about the rest of us?”

Hollywood is an ideal location for the heavily themed restaurant, based on films that have lasted the test of time. Not only do Angelenos love themed restaurants, but Hollywood is the most popular tourist destination for movie fans.

“Imagine a place with the same enthusiasm as a big time sports bar but instead everyone is celebrating, films, music and art? That is the type of place I wanted to create. A safe space where it really fells like Halloween all year round and people can come, enjoy food, good drinks, listen to good music and feel completely comfortable,” Neil said.

Neil and Link are holding out hope that Burton himself will stop by for a bite to eat now that they’re bringing their creation to LA.
