The Animal Kingdom Park offers some of the greatest dining experiences in the Walt Disney World Resort. The park is broken up into 4 distinct lands: Africa, Asia, DinoLand USA and Discovery Island – and just as many cuisines. There’s a unique dining experience to be had in each location, but as you’d expect some are better than others. View our guide to Animal Kingdom restaurants before your next trip, and don’t regret a single meal.

Here are our favorite Animal Kingdom restaurants for your next visit to the park.

Sanna Animal Kingdom Lodge Menu

Sanaa – Animal Kingdom Lodge

One of the best dining experiences to be had in Walt Disney World resort is Sanaa located at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, a short bus ride or drive from the park. Located at the majestic Animal Kingdom Lodge, Sanaa transports guests to Africa through the flavors and spices of the continent’s traditional dishes. Sanaa introduces guests to the art of African cooking, with exotic flavors and quality ingredients. The hotel itself is beautifully executed, with unique architecture and furnishings typical of African lodging. Guests enjoy breathtaking views of animals like zebras, giraffes, ostriches and more. The menu features dishes packed with flavor, not for those who prefer a bland approach to food.

The menu at Sanaa features dishes like:

  • Tandoori chicken
  • lamb shank
  • sustainable fish

Don’t leave without trying the naan.

Tiffins Restaurant Animal Kingdom Park

Tiffins – Discovery Island

Tiffins is one of the best Animal Kingdom restaurants, offering fine dining to park guests looking for an elevated experience. Don’t expect traditional park food here. You can expect to spend between $35 and $60 per adult. Guests can take their taste buds exploring for lunch and dinner at Tiffins. The menu features flavors from across the globe, artfully prepared and fit for starving park guests.

The menu at Tiffins features a variety of rich dishes like:

  • Berkshire pork tenderloin,
  • Wagyu strip loin and braised short rib
  • Berbere-spiced lamp chop

Savor the flavors of the sea by ordering one of the many seafood dishes including grilled head on prawns, hoisin-glazed halibut and whole-fried sustainable fish. Start your meal with the lobster-popcorn Thai curry soup. It’s an original dish you won’t find anywhere else.

Tusker House Restaurant Animal Kingdom

Tusker House Restaurant – Africa

The Tusker House is a beautifully decorated semi-open-air restaurant. The restaurant serves dishes buffet style, so it’s the perfect place to dine after a long day at the park. The restaurant costs $15 to $35 for breakfast and about $35 to $60 per person for lunch and dinner. Tusker House provides character dining, which makes it even more perfect for families. Get your character pictures in while you dine instead of waiting in long lines.

The dinner menu at Tusker House includes:

  • Peri-Peri whole salmon
  • Spit-roasted beef top sirloin
  • Spit-roated chicken
  • Kenyan Coffee BBQ Pork Loin
  • Cape Malay Curry Chicken
  • Roasted pork shoulder
  • Oven-roasted red skin potatoes
  • Toasted couscous salad
  • Curried rice
  • Mashed potatoes

If you’re looking for a quick service restaurant in the Africa section of the park, try the Harambe Market. The seating area is fun and heavily themed. The food is fresh, and unlike typical park food you’re used to eating. It’s affordable at just $15 per meal, and just enough food to refuel you in the middle of the day. Our favorite item on the menu is the all-beef Gyro flatbread. The meat is perfectly seasoned and tender. The pita is fresh and toasted, and the black eyed pea salad is tasty.

Yak and Yeti is a beautiful Napalese-inspired restaurant. The dining room is full of handcrafted furniture and imported art. Guests should prepare for a family-friendly Napalese feast. Prices at Yak & Yeti range from $15 to $35 per person. The restaurant is open during normal park hours. Start your meal with a small plate of pork pot stickets or firecracker shrimp.
