Scope Out the California Adventure Lunar New Year Celebration Food Menu

There’s so much to see and enjoy during the California Adventure Lunar New Year Celebration. As we wrote about yesterday, the park will be debuting a new water show and a new parade starring Mulan.

In addition to the new experiences, the park will be expanding food and beverage offerings for the length of the event, which runs from January 20th through February 5th. There will be several marketplaces where guests can enjoy authentic dishes from three Asian countries.

Check out some of the exotic eats you can taste at the California Adventure Lunar New Year Celebration.

Korean Marketplace California Adventure Park

Korea

At the Korean marketplace you can satisfy your appetite with delicious Kimchi Bokkeumbap a Kimchi-vegetable fried rice or Yachae Mandu, steamed vegetable dumplings served with sesame-garlic soy sauce. For dessert try the Yasik, sweet rice and dried fruit cake or try the banana milk.

California Adventure Dumplings

China

China is known for their Dim Sum, especially their dumplings. At the China marketplace you can indulge in savory Xiao Long Bao, a pork soup dumpling with black vegar and ginger. The Luo Bo Gao is a delicious turnip cake served with sausage and oyster sauce. For dessert try the egg tart. The refreshing passion fruit green iced tea with lychee popping pearls is a great way to end your meal.

Vietnam

At the Vietnam marketplace try the Bang Chung, a sticky rice cake served with pork. The Chao Tom Voi Nuoc Cham Chua Ngot is another traditional dish seafood lovers will enjoy. Sugar can shrimp is skewered and served with a sweet and sour sauce. For desert try the purple sweet potato macaron.

In addition to the marketplaces, guests can enjoy traditional Lunar New Year Celebration food at the Paradise Garden Grill. The restaurant that typically serves Greek food, will be serving Asian dishes during the event. The menu at the Paradise Garden Grill will include:

  • Japchae – Stir-fried vegetables and noodles with tofu
  • Galbi – Grilled beef short rib with steamed rice and kimchi
  • Cach Chien Ca Gion Ngon – Whole crispy tilapia with chili-lime vinaigrette and steamed rice
  • Pho – Beef noodle soup
  • Mango pudding
  • Banh Khoai Mi Nuon – Cassava-coconut cake
  • Almond Milk Tea with Fruit Jellies
  • Max Beer Lager

The California Adventure Lunar New Year Celebration food will be available for a limited time. The celebration runs until February 5th. Be sure to enjoy these treats while you can, and don’t miss out on all the park has to offer this month.
