The Upcoming Live Action Adaptation of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Will Feature Many of the Scenes You Grew Up Loving

The final full trailer of Disney’s live-action adaptation of the animated classic Beauty and the Beast is here, and it debuts the rebooted theme song featuring Ariana Grande and John Legend.

The trailer features many of the classic scenes you grew up loving from the 1991 Disney animated classic – Belle scoffing at Gaston, the bustling town scenes, the “Be Our Guest” dining number, the library and more.

One noticeable character departure is Kevin Kline’s portrayal of Maurice, who unlike his animated counterpart doesn’t support Belle’s dreams of a life beyond their poor provincial town. He can be heard in the trailer warning Belle of the dangers found in the outside world.

In the trailer, the house staff can be heard explaining their predicament to Belle, another departure from the original film. In the animated classic, Belle only discovers the beast is a prince under enchantment when he is brought back to life by her declaration of love.

The trailer is the first time fans were introduced to the Ariana Grande and John Legend version of “Beauty and the Beast,” which will play during the end credits of the film. Emma Thompson will perform the popular song during the film as Mrs. Potts. Celine Dion is back as well, lending her voice to a different song. Dion and Peabo Bryson sang the original “Beauty and the Beast” single for the animated film.

Beauty and the Beast hits theaters March 17. What do you think of the new trailer?
