Kat Von D Everlasting Lipstick Review

Should you invest in a liquid lipstick?

It came, an email from Sephora with all their new holiday gift packages. I had to indulge myself, and bought a few different sets. Among the sets was a liquid lipstick I surprisingly love. The Kat Von D Everlasting Love Liquid Lipstick is the perfect lipstick for fall.

I’ll start with the Kat Von D Outlaw Everlasting Liquid Lipstick. When I first heard Kat Von D was coming out with a makeup line I assumed there would be a lot of red lip products and eyeliners. I had no interest in the line, because her look isn’t my style. I’m not a fan of tattoos, so I was also turned off by the packaging of the product. In this case, you can’t judge a book by its cover, or a lipstick by its packaging. If you’re looking for a long lasting red lipstick, this is your best option.

The Pros

This lipstick stays on all day. I mean all day. I applied the liquid lipstick in the morning before work at 8:00 am and it lasted me until I took it off at 10:00 pm. I was able to eat, drink, and kiss my fiancé without losing the red tint. Another perk is the lack of bleeding. Most red lipsticks will bleed, giving your mouth that “coloring outside the lines” look. The Kat Von D Everlasting Love Liquid Lipstick did not bleed.

The Cons

This isn’t necessarily a reason not to buy the product, but you should be aware that the actual color of the product does not match what it looks like from the outside. From the outside the lipstick looks like a bright almost orange red, but when applied it comes off as a darker maroon-red. I would test the sample before choosing your color. What I had more of a problem with was the paint-like feeling the lipstick leaves on your lips. You will literally feel like you have paint on your lips. The product instantly hardens and adheres to your lips, which is probably why it lasts all day.

I would recommend the Kat Von D Everlasting Lipstick product. It’s a great red lipstick, and won’t leave you with that lip liner look after eating/drinking. Want to buy your own? Find it here.
